Hi everyone! When we moved to Japan, I initially had a lot of time on my hands and during that time I discovered YouTube. For those who do not know what YouTube is, it is an internet video sharing site where people record videos of themselves or events and then upload it for the public to watch for entertainment (with restrictions, of course).
YouTube had already been in existence for a few years by the time I found it so it was pretty well established by that point. I found it to be a wonderful resource of many different things, especially tutorials. That is how I became so involved with makeup. There are lots of YouTube makeup tutorials! Not only that, but pretty much anything you can think of, people have made videos for. Some vlog (video blog) their lives, some do tutorials for cooking, makeup, computer repair, science projects, reviews of things they purchased and some just like to chat to the camera (or viewers). The list is endless of what you can find on YouTube.
After watching for years, I became interested in making videos myself so that those in my life could really see what kind of things I do and enjoy. And so, after doing a little research and figuring out what exactly what I needed to do, I bought myself a video camera and started my own channel called Simply Christal. Right now, the main bulk of my videos are knife throwing videos. That is something that was introduced to me by my brother, Dennis, a couple months ago. If you want to check out his website, click here. He told me about some YouTube videos he was watching to learn and so of course I began scouring YouTube to see what I could find as well. So I thought, what better time than now to start my channel. I am able to film and edit short videos of me throwing which is helping me learn, all while keeping interested parties in the loop and entertained.
I have a lot of of video from the past, mainly from Japan that I will eventually be posting as I get them loaded and edited. Editing takes some time so it will be a gradual process. Anytime I post a new video, I will put a link on my Facebook page or if you have a Youtube account, you can subscribe to my channel to receive notifications of a new video. I will still post here as well but I am posting more often to Facebook or Youtube at the moment.
